Newspaper stories - Are they reliable?
Some stories from newspapers are written for the newspapers when the event happened.
However, the following stories from the newspaper were written many years later. They came from a special edition of the Westside News called "The Westside Story" Sunday 23rd July 1989. They may not be fully accurate because they are "secondary" sources of information but they still provide us with some good information about what life was like in and surrounding Kenmore in the early days of the suburb's life.
Keep searching to find information about the following parts of Kenmore's history:
- A beach at Chelmer
- Protecting old homes
- Lone Pine
- Fig trees at Fig Tree Pocket
- Mining in Indooroopilly
- Pullenvale's name
